Sony and nVidia are to co-develop a graphics engine to power graphics cards and entertainment consoles.
The chip will be used in nVidia's GeForce cards which will power forthcoming consumer devices from Sony, almost certainly including the Playstation 3 console.
PS3 will use 'Core' (or is it 'cell' I forget) processors, not much faster.
Simply a processor with multiple cores, like dual processing. Won't improve gaming much over regular processors until they're games made for it. And even then, 'Core' processors main feature is the fact that it will have DIGITAL RIGHTS BUILT INTO IT... permenant end to piracy, apparently.
I didn't think piracy was that big of a problem with console games. Not everyone is willing enough or even leet enough to slap a mod chip into their system.

The Ps3 Will definately be worth getting, just like the Ps2, and old Ps1 were.

K. Please tell me when they introduce 1.5 terrahertz chips into gaming consoles.
You don't even need that much power, twit. The power they have now is enough to last them for years, but producers of video games aren't going to their full potential,

His initial "Terrahertz Chips" post was in response to Shinto Katana, who claimed that the PS3's processor will be "100 times faster than any computer out there."
Read the line of text at the top of each post. At the top of mine, it says "Posted Today, 11:50 PM in reply Lenny's post starting "blah blah blah." That's how you know who the other person is responding to.
