Well, I liked it because it made the bosses easy :) heh, but ya, it was kinda gay, but hey, it was quite hard to get since you had to beat Quistis in a match of a card game... and you can't even save before you play. Shucks.
btw, Holy War is an item, not a magic spell. |
It was? I could have sworn it was a spell. Oh well, I didn't really pay much attention to the game after a certain point, so it's no wonder I couldn't remember.
heh, I don't remember much from the game except Holy War, because it was one of my main items against Ultimecia :)
The only part of the game I thought was really cool was the whole train-scenario, where you had to disconnect the cars and such.
I thought it was pretty lame, I hoped that you could fight those guards when they spot you instead of saying stuff like... "Do you want to try again" or "Quit" and get a gameover. Fighting the guards would have been better.
Yeah, I agree with you there. Fighting the guards would have made it seem a little more realistic. But regardless, I thought it was a pretty innovative task to stick into a Final Fantasy game.
eh, I guess a little spy working type of a miniature mission would be alright lol
Emerald and Ruby Weapons are tough as shit. If you wanna know how tough they are, then go play the damn game. Emearld and Ruby are Super Saiyan 3 compared to the other Weapons. Emerald and Ruby are at least 3 times tougher than the last boss.
Ho, ho hooold it there... don't bring DBZ into this... DBZ is nothing compared to Final Fantasy... if you want to use a term to prove that Emerald and Ruby is hard, use some other things that are far more superior... DBZ... COME ON!
Emerald, Ruby you say its tough as shit.. and I believe you, and I don't need to actually play to learn how hard... I don't really want to play the game, that's my choice. Now lemme ask you this... "Compare Ozma in FF9 to the 2 weapons in FF7..." if you think the 2 weapons are harder to beat... well, then I'd say that these 2 weapons are very difficult. If they AREN'T harder to beat... well, then, I don't think it'll be THAT hard. |
Actually, I found Ozma more of a pain.
Each weapon has a trick to beating them. Certain equips on your character will make Ruby almost harmless while Emerald's pretty weak if you have the underwater materia. |
Damn, ease up on Dragon Ball Z.
Yea, really, there is no strategy to Ozma... YOU are the one who has to explore and find out the strat... all the strats that internet has, probably won't work for you...
Well, I can say this much. I have beaten both the Ruby and Emerald Weapons, and while they were hard, they weren't the toughest thing I have ever fought in an RPG.
OZMA, on the other hand, is the toughest thing I have ever faced in an RPG. He was the most ungodly, horrifyingly difficult creature ever. I never beat him, and in all honesty, it doesn't really bother me. Something that hard doesn't need to be beaten. |
How about Omega weapon from FF5? He was actually invincible.
I remember one of the games in Gameboy... I think it was called something like Final Fantasy Legend II.. I'm not sure, but I couldn't beat Apollo the last boss in that game lol, I threw everything I've got at the guy but damn, I never thought of being stuck in a gameboy game~ I think he was a fairly hard boss compared to all the other gameboy games... but I have no idea about FF5's Omega Weapon for one simple reason... "Never played it"
Well, FF5's Omega weapon could not be defeated. You had to avoid fighting him altogether as he actually had infinite HP and could wipe out your entire party with one attack.
hum, I don't really see the point of having an INVINCIBLE Omega Weapon... because just Omega Weapon is pretty hard enough to beat lol... Invincible... sounds pretty stupid.
If Omega Weapon is invincible, then technically he's not the hardest FF boss. If he can't be defeated he's not a boss at all, he's an obstacle to be avoided.
I wouldn't say he is a "boss" anyways... he is just a special monster that challenges you to a fight to prove who's best.
Ruby weapon is the hardest monster in the game, not omega.
Ruby and Emerald from FF7 are pretty hard, if you try to fight Emerald without Underwater you will get screwed cause of the timer, and if you don't get the certain items for Ruby its really hard to kill him.
so, lemme guess... Emerald Weapon is under water, and there are time limits for you to stay underwater? and thats why you need the "underwater" materia? Sounds pretty easy, but I'll never know unless I try.
Yeah, Emerald Weapon is underwater. But the time limit isn't the tough part. He's just a tough boss. He has a ton of HP, and has a lot of attacks that will knock your party out almost instantly if you're not quick enough to stop him.
just like Ultima Weapon and Omega in FF8... Ultima can knock out one of your party member with a single Light Pillar or something... so you must be fast and quickly use Lionheart to finish him...Omega, he can woop your entire party in one shot... but the ALOT OF ATTACKS part... it wont refer to Ultima but it certainly refers to OMEGA, he has just too many powerful attacks that it almost irritates me.
Emerald is a piece of cake. Quadra Magic + Demi with HP Absorb + Mime takes him out, when it stops doing less than 9999, whack him. Ruby, just W-Summon Hades and KoTR with HP Absorb + Mime. Ultima weapon, although cool looking, is pathetic. I was able to beat him with a lvl 30 group (yes lvl 30!). Tried Omega once, got whacked by Megido Flame.

LVL30 group eh? Pretty unbelievable but if you say so. Ultima Weapon is pretty hard I'd say since you don't get to stay alive too much unless you heal really fast and without mistake... pretty hard. Lvl 30 group... still damn unbelievable lol, you mind telling us HOW?
Ultima Weapon is actually fairly easy. You have to fight him five times, I think. Between each battle you can heal yourself, but Ultima Weapon can't. Like Doomgaze from FF6.
OOOOO, I thought you guys were talking about FF8 Ultima Weapon... cuz it's quite impossible, cuz his normal physical attacks could kill your entire party in 3 shots if you aren't fast enough.
Arg! This is getting a little confusing...
I was talking about the Ultima Weapon from FF7. I'm not sure which one you guys are referring to. |
I think Dark Dragoon was talking about FF7, ugh, I didn't know that there was a Ultima Weapon in FF7... until today when a person i know in class told me about it... where it flies around during the fight.
Yeah, you have to fight him on the deck of the Highwind. You have to chase him around the world map and fight him every time he stops. Which ends up coming out to about five fights.
hey, I might start the game this weekend since I finished KH and I have no other games to play heh, unless of course, I get Vice City...
Which game? Final Fantasy 7? Dude, give it back!!! lol
I'm making my way through Golden Sun right now. I'm hoping it lasts me until Resident Evil Zero is out. And I hope that lasts me until Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion are out.
I've already finished Golden Sun, it is a pretty good game, now I am just waiting for Golden Sun 2!!! COME OUT, PLEASE COME OUT
Yeah, I just bought it this last saturday. Golden Sun 2 is supposed to be out in December from what I've heard.
Awesome. Someone needs to find out more about Golden Sun 2 some more.
we can do that but too bad it's not about Final Fantasy. Go to the Gameboy Advance forum for it lol. Golden Sun is a pretty good game... I'm not that far but I've played quite abit and kept me busy for few weeks. It's on my emulator but it's still cool.
EMULATOR? Phoenix, I am deeply disappointed.
