I'm getting hit by the lower band of it right now. A lot of outages all around, and my company has about 100 men helping out to get everyone's power restored right now. Good for business, bad for people.

Yeah, schools have been closed for a 2nd day now.

Here in central Indiana we got about 6 inches, then a couple of inches of sleet, and then another 5 inches on top of that. The roads suck. It seems to me the plows are nowhere to be found either. Gay.

Here in Canada they closed schools, but just for the day. I was surprised they closed them at all really. Although we haven't had this big a storm in a couple years, it's not really that big of a deal up here. Usually transit is the only thing that is cancelled. Oh well, I definitely don't mind.

I was kind of pissed of because my town was forecasted to have 4-7 inches monday night-tuesday morning, but the system never got far enough north to us. We only got an inch of dust snow.

I wouldn't mind being snowed in. I'd probably just smoke, sleep, eat, watch it snow, and do jack shit.

I've been in several feet of it all day. It is both nice and a pain in the ass because I had to 'plow' my way to classes at 7:30 in the morning.

Yea, prolly got close to 7 inches after it was all done. I was woken up at 730 to do my house and my neighbors. Then helped do a few more houses before work. However the roads were actually in good condition today.

I see. Normally we get hit with an ice storm/wet snow and then we get high winds and powder. That's when things get dangerous, when there is clear ice, snow, and blowing snow making the visibility outside nearly depleted.

After I typed up the title I noticed that it could have been perceived as a certain flavor of 'blizzard' from Dairy Queen, where I am currently employed.

The DQ I work at just got Waffle Cones. They are mighty tasty if you dip half of them into the chocolate dip.
