He does a lot of harmonics, too. Listen to "The Drapery Falls" if you want a good example.

i dont know i am listening to Delirium Cordia and while it is dramatic i dont seem to find it all that scary i reminds me of the music from the shining but i have only listended to about the first 5 mins.

Edit: 
i have now listened to the whole thing and i am not sure if i missed something or what because the whole last like 20 some mins sound the same to me except the last like 2 and that kinda scared me becuase i was getting used to hearing the repetive sound of foot steps and i wasnt expecting it but over all not a bad song but i just didnt seem to find it that scary but maybe it is because it is still daylight out.
