This one isn't really new, but I hadn't seen it until recently and it's probably my favorite TEDTalk yet.

And the third part of this is that we’ve all agreed nonetheless on the really extraordinary capacity that children have, their capacities for innovation. I mean, Sirena last night was a marvel, wasn’t she, just seeing what she could do. And she’s exceptional, but I think she’s not, so to speak, exceptional in the whole of childhood. What you have there is a person of extraordinary dedication who found a talent.

And my contention is, all kids have tremendous talents and we squander them, pretty ruthlessly.

Apparently he did a second one, which is probably even better.

It's too bad the people who are running our world don't think this way.

I watched the second one a little bit ago, great video. He divulges pretty fairly competently and breaks it down in parts that actually make sense. He's also a funny dude, with a good sense of humor. Goddamn i've been watching it again, and he speaks the truth. We've become, industrialized in a sense. If you haven't seen either video, definitely check it out.

And when you're done.
