3dmax install prob

ok I installed it and everything. but when I run it it says:

A license error has occured. Please restart your system to initialize the license management system. If this problem continues, contact your system administrator or authorized dealer.

Error [7.1.29].


then after I click ok it says:

The software license failed to initialize.
[Error 7]


what do I do to get around this?!?!?!
