I would say that the giver was a pretty good book but took alot of re-reading over and over to like understand whats going on, the ending sucked though i mean cmon it like doesnt tell you anything. Also the LOTR series was very entertaining for me but took awhile to read haha.
Perks to Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chobsky!! It's such an amazing book!!! Everyone should read it...if you haven't put down whatever you are doing right now and get a copy!!! omg it's soooo good!!

Chronicles of Narnia series, forgot author though.
The first book in that series was GREAT!!! I own the video version of it as well. I used to watch it over and over again. In fact... i think ill have to go find it and watch it befoore i sleep.
I also happend to like Star Trek: The Next generation books. My favorite beeing the Genesis Wave series by John Vornholt. For anybody who likes Star Trek, this is a must read.
But by far the BEST book i have ever read, was Star Trek: Odyssey. This masterpiece of star trek literature was cowritten by William Shatner himself, along wiht the help of Judeth and Garfield Reeves-Stevens. Its about 1300 pages long. I got that into it that i finished it in about 3-4 days. Another must read for star trek fans.
I have to agree with Jessifer about The Hatchet and Harrpy Potter series. Other books to add to that list are The Prince, Once and a Future King, To Kill a Mockingbird, The Han Solo series, Shadows of the Empire, and I'm sure that there are a few other books I'm forgetting, but that's it for now.
Definetly my Fav.. 'Fields Of Fire' by James Webb
Vietnam Conflict book read it and you'll end up tlaking like a grunt even lol has some harsh stuff in theres, if yah like war and uh added with a tad bit of politics in there go on in. lots of 'battle scenes' if thats only what you care for hehe
