EA Slams PS3, Saying Its Tools "Just Suck"

There are several parts of this statement that make it sound as if EA is completely incompetent, and others that actually sound viable. But in general, we can only compare to what we've seen from other developers on the PS3...and we have to conclude that EA, quite simply, is lagging behind. There are plenty of great-looking PS3 games on the way, and 2K Sports has already said one of their titles, NBA 2K8, would run at 60fps on the PS3, very much unlike Madden 08.

I recently found another example of EA doing something obnoxiously stupid. I'm gonna go try to find it.

Good for them. Their games suck, too.

When they have learnt how to code for the PS3, and can make a good game for it, then they can come back and tell us all that the PS3 tools suck. Until then, fook 'em all.

I like some of their games. Pretty big player out there ...especially with sports games. Still, I wouldn't think EA would say something like that. Fake?

Of course they would. EA have been saying since the PS3 came out that it sucks. Apparently the coding is impossible, and that the power of the console is not even a touch on the Xbox 360. And now they've got Peter Moore in a high-up position.

We've got developers such as 2K Sports, Factor 5, Ninja Theory, Guerilla Games, Naughty Dog, Insomniac, all getting fantastic results with their games on the platform. Why can't EA do the same? Heck, even Ubisoft are improving, and they were in the same camp when the PS3 launched.
