Aim Login sound

How do you make ti so that when you sign on people who have you in their buddy lsit hear a different sound than the door opening? I changed the login sound in sound preferences but it only changes it for me, my buddies cant hear it!

ya i dont know, but its annoying.. some people login and i hear like random music, or a plane propeller... for a while i thought it was a virus till i figured out ppl could do that.

They have to have "play others sounds" or something like that enabled.

How do you YOURSELF change ur login sound?

I don't use the AIM program, but occasionally go on on something called Gaim.

With most programs don't you just go into tools/options, then properties or options and change it in there? Or in the preferences part of the program?

My AIm - Edit Options - Edit Preferences - IM/Chat/Mobile - IM Window - Sounds - OUtgoing sounds.
