I've had tons of experience with an alternate game making program, but I've now changed over to RPGmaker XP. Everything seems to be going great, except for one, MASSIVE problem that completely prevents me from making my games...

The command... "Erase Event". It only erases the Event until you re-enter the map.
This is absolutely horrible.

It is a NECESSITY that I be able to permanently delete Events. I simply have no idea how. Please help me out.

Are you saving right after you delete them?

You're probably not using switches. If you want an event to go away then make a switch at the end of it and turn it on. Now make a second page in the event where the switch is required to be turned on in order for that page to activate.{on the left side of the event screen} (Higher number pages have higher precedence). Set the second page so the sprite is just blank, it auto-starts, and set it to erase the event. This should make it go away for forever unless you turn that switch to off.
