Evil Grin Party issues..

I want to start my game with just my main hero but instead i keep getting 4 ppl how do i make it one


and how do i get someone to join a party later by talking to them??

Party down to one:

Open RM2K3, Go to the database (icon that looks like a table on the toolbar). Go to System. Change the 2nd, 3rd and 4th slots to empty.

Get someone to join when talk:

Event. Talk to them, message, then Change Party > Add CHARACTER.

Also just to make everything in life complecated you could do what I'm about to show you. This is if you want to make it so that you will get certain characters depending on how you talk to people. I will also make it so that when you are caring certain items it will make someone join you but not other people.

So I'll start off just similar to Lenny

Events to know:
Conditional Branches (Page 3 of events(Branch if Switch [0...))
Show Choices (Page 1 of events(yes/no))

By the way I had to put ____ for the fact that the website will cancel out the spaces I put.


That's it, if you want to have different characters depending on how answer people. Now you can do what ever to edit like having a character disappear on the yes and no part, or having a character become a arch foe because you didn't choose them. Anything you want, but on to part two.

TC = Treasure Chest

Treasure Chest 1: Item: Sword
Treasure Chest 2: Item: Staff
Treasure Chest 3: Item: Mace

All chests automaticlly lock after you open up one of them.

How 'bout I explain instead of writing out word for word what it looks like unlike that beggining.

Event for TC_1 - 3

Make an event called something like [0021:Chests_Lock_001]
So pick a TC and click and receive the item by the Item Management: add item
Go over and talk to some character maybe talk to one person and have them lined up behind him for the picking.
talk use conditional branches and get as complecated as you want
The person will say something like oh you have that item with the" Item [TC_1] held " precondition
Add the member and your done

or make it so you can say yes/no to the item if no
then the character will say something like fine turn off [0021:chests_lock_001] and turn on [0031: pickagain]
This way if you pick the same item again you can have the person say something like "Do you really want me or not"
and repeat that's it, I'm done.

I've considered being a translator, but I dunno. It feels like a lot of work. If someone gets angry then I have to deal with it, you know? I'd rather just relax.
