You should tell us WHY it's so good, compared to playstation 2 for instance (if you can ).

1) It's made by a good company.
2) There are a lot of good series' (zelda, mario, metroid, etc)
3) It's 100 bucks cheaper then ps2.
4) It's really portable.
I'm not saying its better then ps2, but its sure as hell better then Xbox.
I would say like Xenn.
I'd rather get a gamecube to play more "classic" games, while I save all the "realistic" games for my pc. Yes, emulators is an option, and don't ask me how painful it would be to play a mario game on my computer. :P

I agree with Xenn. GameCube is a lot better. The controller is so comfortable in your hands. It is a lot more portable too. It even comes with a carrying handle. As for DVD players, who needs 'em? You buy a game system to plat games, not play DVD's or CD's.
sory to hear that you got a GC.
my lil brother got one and he liked it 4 a week and thin i got an XBox and now hes taking the GC back to get a XBox. i was going to give him my ps2 and he could take the $ from the GC and get more games but he dont like the ps2..now im stuck with the P.O.S.
Like I told you, gamecube is like 70% gameplay and 30% graphics, while ps2, xbox and so on are 45% gameplay and 55% graphics. What's the point of going for graphics on a console, when my computer can play a game that looks twice as good?
Consoles should be for the arcade feeling.

I never even played Perfect Dork for N64. I kind of forgot to do it :\

Better than GoldenEye, compared to when that was released?
