I tried to pick up a copy of Mario Party earlier today, but the only place that carries it is KMart. Now, recently KMart has been doing this whole "KMart Gamecube exclusive" deal, where you buy a game and get the player's guide for free. Well, since MP4 doesn't have a player's guide, KMart has packaged the game with a Wavebird controller. The problem is, this little package costs 80 bucks. Now, that's actually probably 10 to 20 dollars cheaper than if you bought the game and the controller separately, but the problem is I don't want the controller. I just want the damned game!!! So, now I have to drive 2 hours to Idaho so I can find a place that sells the game by itself. I mean, the controller definitely sounds cool, but I'm not necessarily having seizures from "Wavebird Withdrawal" here.

the wavebird is sweet. i definatly recommend buying this. it has a range of up to 30 feet and the signal even goes through walls. plus the batteries (2 AA) last really long. the on drawback is that there is no rumble for 2 reasons. one, it would be too heavy, and two the bateries would run aut in a matter of minutes.

I'm like atleast 2 and a half feet, maybe less from where the cube sits lol. Like I honestly need something like that. ONly people who'd need them are ones with HUGE rooms, a sofa on one end, and a gigantic tv on the other. Otherwise yea not relaly worth it.

Gamecube controllers are crappy in length, only like 6 feet long.

My Gamecube is hooked up to a big tv with stereo speakers and S-video, but the damn thing needs an extension cord to reach the couch :/

So anyways, the wavebird is 3rd party and I wouldn't trust it.

No, it isn't. It's an official Nintendo product. And it works perfectly. I haven't had any problems with mine at all.

I hate this state. I hate it so very, very much.

So, I actually had to pick up one of these controllers yesterday. Metroid Prime finally came in at KMart, and the controller was part of their "KMart Exclusive" thing. I was okay with it though, considering I wasn't willing to drive two hours to get my copy of the game this time. And the controller is actually really cool too. Now I have less cords getting all tangled in front of my TV. The only part I don't like is that in order to save battery power, the thing doesn't have a rumble function. Oh well, it's not really that big a deal anyway.
