What are your views on these weapons of mass destruction in the world of starcraft. Should they do more or less damage? And also, what should be hte consecquences of detonating one of these monsterous weapons.

I think that the nuke should be stronger where it impacts the ground. Come on, nothing can wtihstand a nuclear device. Why is a command center even standing after a nuke shot. Imho, everything within a small click radius of the impact point should be auto destroyed.

ALso, after a nuclear weapon is detonated, there should be residual radiation that lingers on the ground, harming any biological units that may have the misfourtune of walking upon that scared and tourtured ground.

The thing that really gets me, is what happenst o those built nukes in the silos that are destroyed. Nothing, they just dsappear. If you ask me, when a nuke silo is destroyed, the nuke should detonate.

Also it would be cool if there was a self destruct on the nuke silos, that you could self inniciate.

Just myideas on how starcraft could be better.

The nuke you speak of is more like the nukes in C&C Generals

I'm pretty sure you could shoot a nuke and nothing would happen as long as it isn't active(I can't think of the actual word.) So, I could understand there being some kind of radiation or something left when a silo is blown up, but not an explosion like a nuke.

More damage, definetly. Once you set off a nuke on some buildings.. they should all be destroyed.

Nuke...

Makes sense. There should be more damage in the immediate area where it is detonated, but a slightly smaller damage radius b/c of that damage increase. Also, there should be some type of radiation residual, at least a 1-2 minute period where biological units would get a Plague-like symptom, only not as damaging.

I would rather a nuke make the are where it hits unusable for the remainder of the game, so it would have more of a strategic use also instead of just a destructive use.

The word might be 'Armed' Iuno.

But I think the nukes shouldn't be more powerful because they are good as they are. You need to think of the starcraft game itself being played on a smaller scale. Cuz when you build a barracks it's not small, Its a huge building if it we're reality, and when you drop a nuke it takes alot 'out' of the buildings and structures, because if the nuke took out the whole person's base, the game wouldn't be any fun.

Nukes should leave a form of radiation behind for about a minute.

Also, to even it out, nuclear silos should leave radiation when destroyed.

Level the playing field, lose a nuke silo, lose your SCV's, own someones expo, own someones choke, gl saving expo

the anser for the radiation is NO... perfect way of winning a game is just simply nuking the scvs and building another, nuke again and keep running away.. thats gg... radiation is a game imbalance, the point of scbw isnt for realism, its for balance.. thats why its so awesome.. so again, no radiation uneless ofcourse a certain radius around the nuke dmg has some form of irridate to kill the biological but nothing that lingers

My sig won't show =/

The radiation shouldn't really do anything to anyone but protoss anyway, if there was thought put into it. The Terrans have space suits, which are fully sealed... The Zerg have likely inhabited planets which were worse than nuclear radiation. The protoss are the only ones running around naked, to say.

Just my opinion.
