Alright, Rule Revisions...

Chat Forum Rules:

These are new rules, and it is nothing like the previous one's, which were just too difficult to keep a track of...

Basically, from now on, it will be more like the days of old in the Chat Forum, but with a few twists.

1. All good or potentially good topics will be immediately moved to GC, and the spam within those threads will not only be trashed, but deleted as well. This means that if you happen to be adding nothing to the conversation, but the rest is good, your particular post will be trashed and deleted as if you never even posted it.

2. All threads will be kept, but to an extent. If all you really do is contribute Spam Worthy threads, it is at the discretion of the Senior Staff and Robotic/Raziel whether or not the thread gets to stay. You are no longer entitled to 2 shitty threads a week, it is now a judgement call.

This means that you could post more than 2 threads per week, or potentially less, depending on your track record.

Hopefully this will simply cause some of our more notorious spamming members to start actually trying to make new threads for the good of the community, and not just to raise their post counts. Of course not every shitty thread will be trashed, after all, spam can be fun...

3. Any thread that is basically consisting of two, three, or so members just chit-chatting back and forth, will be merged with the WRT. As much fun as spam can be, its not very fun when it is taking place between the same members all the time.

4. Posts that consist of ALL CAPS will be trashed and a warning will be administered.

5. Of course, don't thread dig, unless you have a truely, sincere post to contribute.

6. Don't flame anyone. This includes, but is not limited to name calling, degrading of a person's character, etc. Flames are meant to be kept in the Flame Forum, after all, that is why it was made...


Alright, well there shouldn't be any discrepancies over the decisions made anymore, for I feel as though this outlines what should and should not be done.

Basically, the only chance to get banned because of your actions in here are due to rules 4., 5., 6., 7., 8. and 9.

7. Do not make numerous, consecutive threads. Prime example of what not to do is what -Spector- did. He made 5 consecutive threads named, "Thread 1 of 5" all the way to 5 of 5. From now on, that will be an immediate Warning, and subsequently, Temp Ban.

8. Even though Linear Style Posting allows double and sometimes triple posting, that is not always the case. Again, do not post multiple, consecutive posts unless you have good, contributing reasons to do so. !K_A!'s example of this rule is exactly what NOT to do...

9. Don't double post. Repeat offenders will be warned. If you want to post multiple times in a row, please do so in the World Record Thread.

Again, the limits of the flexible rules is simply a judgement call from the Leaders of Zelaron, the Staff. If you aren't sure whether or not what you are posting falls in this range, don't post it. If you do, and it is the judgement of the Staff that read the post to Warn and/or Ban, that decision is final.
