One cannot sense many things in life. Can you see anger? No, you can see the results of anger and the common signs of anger. You cannot hear anger either. Nor can you smell, taste, or touch it. However, since you cannot see it, do you believe it doesn't exist? Of course not, because you have experienced Anger. You know what it feels to be angry. You believe that it exists.
Belief in God is much the same as this. One can believe that certain things are proof that God exists, while at the same time, others deny His existance and say that the signs that prove God exists are all false. It is personal. Either you believe in God, believe in the things God has done, or you don't.
One doesn't, or at least shouldn't, base beliefs upon the fact that there is a book. Beliefs may be based upon what is in the book. While I cannot disprove the existance of your "mashed potatoe" god, I have yet to read your books and hear your arguments of his existance.
Should I choose the lower path, the path that it seems many Zelaronies have taken? The path in which I state that, no matter how many examples of a superior being, I do not believe in it. The path in which I state that all evidence is false and that nothing can be surely proven. The path in which I refuse to accept what others present to me, partially because of my own insecurity, and because of my own ignorance.
That is not my path to take. Have your own opinion. Believe or do not believe. You cannot disprove the Bible, so it seems only to anger you. You can believe in that.
