WTF? This is not about what bible says or not!!!!!
No one is interested in hearing your personal problems with the Bible. If someone chooses to use it as a reference for arguing the validity of the death penalty, they may use it. In like, one may draw another source from the Bible to argue with the previous statement, or one may choose to ignore it together and focus on another fact. Since you cannot prove that the Bible is not a valid source, SHUT THE FUCK UP.

I am tired of people saying, "that's stupid! it's all fake and its crap!" With absolutely no evidence or presented reasoning as to say it. So, either make another point, or get off the Bible.
Actually I happen to disagree. I don't ever say the bible is stupid or anything like that...even though i dont personally believe it...I wouldn't downgrade a personal belief of an individual like that. The reason I say the bible can't be used to argue in this case is because this is such a severe matter and everyone has their own set of personal beliefs and such. If you force down the death penalty simply b/c of the bible you are in a way forcing your beliefs on the society also. Not just the bible but you shouldn't use the Kuran or the ramacritimanas or other such holy books to govern a body of people. That's the only reason I say that the bible shouldn't be used in the case of the death penalty...not b/c i say it is stupid or fake.

Whether it is accurate to the letter or a total sham, the Bible is where many people turn for "severe" matters. Devout Christians try to follow the word of God, even though it may not always be possible. I am very, very far from perfect, but, when possible, if I can do the morally right thing (which usually coinsides with what the Bible states, by the way), I will.
