There WOULD still be time-zones in a flat earth model because the sun would go around the "paper world" and everything would be night for a LONG ass time but the ground would glow 'cause the sun is under us then there wouldn't be a need for night lights. And tree's n shit would grow faster because the sun is directly under them so they get alot of solar energy to grow and Orthro stocks would rise because of the gardening consumer's demand for Weed-B-Gone.
There would be no night and day. The reason we have night is because the world is rotating, and the sun light is blocked by the opposite side of the sphere. If the flat earth rotated, it would be day time all the time.
Assuming that the earth was stationary and the sun rotated around the earth would not cause us to need time zones either, because due to the great distance between the earth and the sun no matter where the sun was the light would hit us at practically the same angle, and we'd live under one time.
Quite frankly, I believe anyone that posts this is completely daft. There are some things that can be proven of both flat earth and round earth theorists. However, in the study of PHYSICS there isn't a single thing that anyone can say to prove the earth is flat. The aforementioned time zones. Other sites claiming gravity is a figment of the imagination (so told it's completely inertia, whereby the apple theory with be invalid [though you would have to calculate it's potential energy in which the apple is stationary prior to falling versus inertial energy where the apple accelerates upon disconnection {call me crazy but inertia measures current velocity and not future velocity, right?}]) At any rate, if one can disprove the learning of physics (to Hawkings) I'll proudly change my opinion.
Duke Nukem was a pretty leet game. I remember deathmatching and multiplayering on that with my friends on their LAN when I was like 10. That was the shit.
