Just goes to show what happens when people don't have the imagination to name a town properly.

And you folks, as well as the Australians, have stolen a lot of British town and city names! Give them back, says I!

Well, after the american farmers kicked the shit out of the british army, I'm sure they wanted to add insult to injury.

America is a melting pot of cultures. We have names from all over the world here. Many people here were of British heritage. Those names probably reminded them of the old homeland =D.
