Ramen

Top Ramen is as nasty as it gets. At least buy Maruchan Ramen (or whatever that brand is). The best inexpensive block ramen that I've had is Shirukiku brand, but even that is crap compared to the stuff I get now.

Don't like Ramen. That shit is cheap for a reason.

All those 50 cents ramen are pretty crappy, try the real one where they have japanese letters and cost around 5 bucks, those are the best.

I dont eat Ramen much yet maybe once a week but when i start college i bet i will probably almost live off of them.

When we've ran outta food i've actually had some Boyoun Cubes (*spelling). Pretty good, it's like soup almost...just the water part...uber salt'age.

You guys ought to have pot noodles. They come ready made!! Just add hot water.

Do you eat your ramen normally (hot, cooked, with soup base), or do you deviate from the norm in some way (ie. dry/refridgerated/cooked&drained/cooked,drained,then add soup base powder)?

I cook it as I am told to, but then I drain all the juice and shit then add that powder and all that and mix that shit its good as hell becuase i dont get bullshit noodles with the tastey juice thats not what I shoot for.


If/when you eat your ramen with soup base, do you drink it once the noodles are gone?

I dont have juice once its all gone...


Have you ever eaten enough ramen to put you off of eating ramen for months or years on end?

I find it interesting that noone else here seems to have a brand preference. I had figured that we would have at least one member who had experimented with different brands to find the best ones.

You described yourself as a "ramen fiend" and stated that you could eat it many times a day; sounds pretty obsessive to me.

Well, for a few months I ate ramen pretty frequently.. because it was affordable. 13 cents a package. I haven't eaten it in half a year or more though. So I doubt that's obsessing.

See, he says 13 cents a pack, so its probably the cheap brands.

This thread makes me kind of sad.
