Detained by freedom

Entertained by dreams, jubilant times and sometimes compelling feasts,
Obtained by our realm, sucked in and trapped by the walls we built,
Sustained in illusion, a demure situation which fools us, rules us,
Detained by our own freedom, our wishes and our expectations,
Contained by our life, predictability and desires. Trapped in the blistering crossfires and dreary exploitations.

For where can we run when we're engulfed in perdition,
Our own superstition, the anti-key to help us lock ourselves into chains,
Wanting to disappear, vaporize and be forgotten,
We give in too easily when we get besotted,
The peeling eyes in the shadows, trying to read our mind but never to have our subconscious desires spotted.

A flagrant, delirious passion expands in our friends and foes,
Constantly fuelling and rocketing them forward while we're tripping on our toes,
Sitting on a rock, waiting for the world to turn with tides of tempest and time,
To let us forget, be lost in oblivion and erase our mistakes,
To clean and remove the holes in our worn clothes with a detergent.

"The official hiding place of the owner himself. Come on in, and try to read his mind if you can."

I don't post these things to amuse the Zelaroners or to hear listen to feedback, I post it because I like to. If anyone likes or hates what I post, then it's their own concern/reward.
