I dunno I like the xbox that I bought for my sister...it's got good graphics, decent games (LOTR)...DVD hook up, the controler was an issue around here for a while...but you get used to it...

ps2 if u want loads of games.

xbox if u dont have a pc (which is quite weird for someone using this forum :P).

if u want the most console for ur money get a gamecube. i think its more console than ps2 and xbox together (even tho i own a ps2)

With PS2 you can play ps2 and psx games. It has a good game base already so you can buy games that you'll like now.
Xbox is newer and the games are good. However, the games will get better. It's a new system. The games always get better.
I got a gamecube recently. I like Nintendo and it was $50 cheaper.
Seems to be your choice.

Can you reserve an item that is still in concept stage? They are trying to put together a chip for it. They don't even know what the console will look like.

Actually, send me $15 and I'll put ya on that waiting list.

I'd go with Xbox if you have cable, but I recently got a PS2 and beat the 3 games I got which was a lot of fun (Kingdom Hearts, FF10, Medal of Honor Frontline).

Go for PS2
-------------
*Loads of great game
*The best controller
*Online man
- Xbox=Money sucking (Pay $49,99 yearly to play online)
- when PS2 online adaptor only cost $39.99
- PLUS you don't have to pay for the subscription
- AND you don't need to pay money for playing online
......Except Final Fantasy XI (DAMN!)
*Though the graphic IS worse than Xbox, so what? You never expect PS2's graphic is better than Xbox (think about it, Xbox came out 1 year after PS2, if Xbox's graphic is still worse than PS2, then you probably would think, WTF???) -> I got a very decent point here
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My finally word, GET PS2, or you will regret. lol
