Shakugan No Shana ends

A 6 year void in my anime life has been filled.

The US market has not had good luck with Shana. Geneon started releasing the series but then quit the anime market. Funimation then picked up and released the last volume or two, then released a series box set with the ova, and then releases stopped again. Then the box set went out of print and there was nothing.

Viz Media released the first 2 light novels and then discontinued it. They also released 6 volumes of the manga but that's been put on hiatus with the first few volumes going out of print.

All hope lies with Funimation on releasing the rest of the anime. Another anime forum I visit said that they hope to have some releases starting at the end of this year. I'm hoping for blu ray's.

Because of japan's retarded anime market though, we won't be seeing the final season state side for probably 2 years.
