Just finished this up tonight. Feedback is appreciated.

"Asylum"

Our eyes can not percieve reality.
The cataracts of a finite cone of sight.
Our vision filtered. 60 frames a second is the limit.
Impossibility of visual epiphany.

Our ears so muffled: interference.
The plugging effect of a thousand clashing breaths.
These sounds are doctored. Confined to a single squealing wavelength.
The rationale of an atrophied receptor.

Allow me to show you the world between the static.
I will grant you a glimpse of the universe at the edge of time.
I shall provide a gaze upon the reality underneath the lies.
Shred the limits of your mind.

Your mouth so numbed: excess consumption.
The air, your words. The flavor all but stripped away.
These tastes are blunted. A languid, bittersweet corruption.
The protocols of slurred interpretation.

Adenoidal nerves beyond all salvage.
The dampening of all olfactory recievers.
A lymphoid apocalypse. The limits of your smell perception.
Submersion in an atmosphere of stench.

Insert your needles into my ears.
Remove my sinuses, flay away my flesh.
Cut this tongue from my skull.
Burn out these bastard, lying eyes.
The freedom is sublime.

Your nerves. A congress. A round table of decievers.
Your skin. A liar. A lair to contain your ethereal mind.
Your flesh. Imperfect. An asylum built to cage your soul.
Destroy. All matter. Release yourself from your bonds.

Your senses, they have decieved you.
Cut away the tether to your corporeal remains.
Take my hand, don't be afraid.
I'm here to ease the needless pain.
The multiverse awaits.

Interesting but some of it seems familiar for some reason.

Familiar in what way? Like something I've already written or like something someone else has written?
