most people dont like LotR for the special effects bud
sure they are good, but if you enjoy a movie because of the special effects you're a weirdo. the story is awesome, and the special effects just add to it.

Yeah I like it more because of the story, and they do a good enough job presenting the world in my eyes. Matrix is good but I don't think that they had too do as much character animation in it as they do in LOTR but what they did do was spectacular.

whatever. Matrix reload is going to own any LOTR movie series when it comes out anyways.

whats so funny bout that? it makes any movie now up to date looks like a child play, for those who thinks LOTRs are good cause of the special effects and the way it was filmed.
I think the filming was amazing on this movie... and I can say that because I film and I put special effects in my films...The Matrix opened up a new window for the movie industry...the first one put us in aw because we had never seen anything like it...now don't you think that the next one will be a little bit dissapointing because we've seen these effects put into other movies??? LOTR owns because it is a classic...classics always own, at least that's what I think...It's something that ppl have been waiting for for a long time...The Matrix was just a key to open a door...LOTR was what was behind that door...

I think it is ok because if it didn't sell as well as it does I doubt they would have put half the effort into it. I just hate it when they get a distorted view of the "real" world.

I've read all three books, and I've seen Fellowship of the Rings about 12 times now (I have the special extended edition) and I've seen the Two Towers, both of them were very well done, but I think they could have done some things better.

I loved it! Especially the part with legolas and gimli, where gimli got 2 and legolas got 17 ^.^ They had a lot of funny parts in it this time. I cannot wait till the third one.
