There's a 30% chance that any given XBox360 will fail. I don't really see how you can have confidence in a system that comes broken. My roommate has one and he gets upset if I play it for more than two hours because he's afraid the heat (from it being on) will damage it (and apparently it actually will). WTF is that?!?!
Yeah your right they truely suck.

True, the only good thing about the 360 is Mass Effect.

Great, my 1000-some word reply vanished when attempting to submit it from my cellphone, and then it rebooted due to lack of memory, thus disabling my capability of pasting it into a document to save it.

Anyway, we get it. My_console>Your_console

I think the choice of consoles comes down to their available games rather than the consoles per se. That being said, the PS3 does have superior hardware for computational purposes, at a cost.

As for my XBOX 360, yes, I enjoy it very much. I played GTA IV for 13 hours yesterday, with a one-hour break in-between. The exterior of the console did not at any point reach a temperature more than a few degrees over ambient temperature. Its exhaust air remained consistently cool. I kept the console in a large, open space, and left a window open, which rendered the room fairly cold.

So far, I have Dead or Alive 4 and the aforementioned GTA IV. I'm going to pick up Mirror's Edge in November, along with Mass Effect, Halo and Gears of War. Any other suggestions?

Well obviously you will hear me tell you Too Human. I really feel its a great game, however the internet is definetly on both sides of the fence. It has its flaws (i fell through a black void yesterday in single player). All in all though it is a great game imo

Crackdown is also a fun game, you play an over experience agent who has to take down the 3 rival gangs. You can find orbs throughout the cities that increase your human abilities such as. Agility, Strength, Firepower, Explosions, and Driving. Each has its own perks and your agents appearence changes with your skill increase.

Blue Dragon was a good RPG. I havent beaten it but i have gotten to the 2nd disc. Somehow managed to just drift out of it, that doesnt say much a game should hold you in for a while.

Mass Effect, recommend to the fullest. Managed 2 complete playthroughs.

Those are just some of the games I have, i traded in a bunch earlier including GTA IV. Managed to get 110 bucks from gamestop and purchased Too Human and SoulCalibur 4. Lemme know if you want any other information about any of the games, what kind of games interest you?

Maybe it's just me, or I missed something, but I thought Mass Effect was pretty horrible. It's the same thing over and over.

Blue Dragon was decent enough, but RPGs just aren't the same anymore. Part of the reason why I didn't like it so much was because of all of the random items and stuff you can find EVERYWHERE. You can basically find money or items in every single piece of decorative crap in the game. Check every vase, drawer, crevice, gizmo, etc. I'm so much of a completionist that I can't stand having to pass anything up, but the game would literally take you forever to finish if you were to get all of the crap.

Question: what's the noise of the fans like, if it's keeping cool?

As for games, Gears of War 2 should do you well, particularly if you want the original. It looks to be along the same lines... though I'd wait until you've played GeoW1 before buying the second - I tried it at a friend's house and I found it horrible. The gameplay was terrible at best, the graphics, however good they're supposed to be, make everything look the same (I spent a minute shooting at a pillar from cover, which was bloody hard to get into, thinking it was a Locust), and the hour of story I sat through was awful. Some people seem to like it, though.

Lost Odyssey is a good RPG, I haven't finished it yet though.

Get Halo 3.

Like Lenny said, Gears of War.

Then there's Halo 3.

And don't forget Halo 3!
