If you have read books about philosophy and it in some ways inspiries you, leading you to the thought, then it is not original.

As what you've quoted, . It is the natural order for the old to be overtaken by the new. But we must never forget the old.
Must never forget the old. It must not be 100% original, but rather a building up on an already existing idea.

Also, in your idea of "events that occur in time continue to repeat themself", it could also mean that the thoughts repeat themselves, thus caught in an endless spiral.

No...in Philosophy, there isn't really a "Correct" answer to things, but there are ways to prove things wrong through logic. (For people don't want to doubt logic...) Other things can be doubt using different hypothese and reasons.
