The wrong type of mushrooms can kill... Psychedellic mushrooms are actually impossible to OD on and die.. the amount you would have to eat is physically impossible to hold in your stomach..

Going crazy is a different story though.

Well I'm just thinking back when some armies would eat mushrooms and attack both sides. I've only met one person who went slightly crazy while on mushrooms. I was having a cig with him out on his porch. He kept on mumbling 'the bunnies' and grinning, and then went running through the forest out of town. We followed him until he got to the forest, but figured he'd be just fine.

The barbarians used to eat Amanita Mushrooms before battle.. Which increased Stamina and other bodily functions, but they also contain higher levels of toxins than other mushrooms which could cause confusion/sickness

Aren't Amanita mushrooms the ones that look like mario mushrooms? I think the full name is Amanita Muscaria. I can't remember, I used to know a lot about mushrooms but then I didn't care.
