computer problems

i c a cord with the label speaker on it inside of the comp but it isnt hooked up anywhere and is loose, i dont see anywhere to plug it in

Rip out everything in the case. Just try and boot it with MB, CPU, RAM, Video Card, and Power supply. See if it posts. If it doesn't then try swapping parts one by one with known good ones (possibly with your own computer). Once you have nailed down the part that doesn't work then you know what to pickup on your next trip to Frys.

I'd say clean and rebuild it, try again.

Get the dust off so you can see something, from there you're on your own from my advice.

Don't you have P4 1.8 512 128? That's good enough, unless you're prepared to do all that work.
