Mantis may have telepathic powers, but he's human. He can't dodge things forever. There's a thing called fatigue.

If you have ever played Metal Gear Solid, he controls Merill, while dodging snakes shots and throwing objects at him. Mantis does have very powerful psychic abilities, but seymour has students. Yeah, cuz we all know Seymour is too badass for the likes of Mantis. His powers are formiddable, against Humans. He lives in a world governmed by the same rules as us. Seymour's magic powers are out of this world. The only thing he can do is throw rocks and shit at Seymour. While he's mounting his sad last stand, the Desperado is cutting him up.
