The next round of systems is gonna be difficult to interpret. How much I hate to say it, alot of it is based on the timing.

I say you should play Halo, but don't get an Xbox. Find a friend who has it and do some Co-Op.

As for the GameCube, I bought one today and I already love it. Quiet and small so it fits well into my TV space. The only thing I have a problem with, and this relates to MGS:TS as well, is that the controllers do not have pressure sensitive buttons like the PS2 does. This makes it a huge hassle to brandish a weapon because you can no longer lower it by letting off of the button slowly like you can on the PS2. This means I have to unequip the gun to lower it and unequipping it instantly makes the enemy attack me. Bad news until I can nab a silencer.

If I was you, I wouldn't use the weapons in the game almost at all. I had much more success with just avoiding enemies entirely, or using my bare hands, than I did trying to hold them at gunpoint. The enemies in the game respond much more realistically then they did in the first one, and even if you could lower your weapon in front of a guard, I would expect him to attack you for it in this one.

And the two shoulder buttons are pressure sensitive. Press them all the way down to open your menus, and just press them slightly to equip or unequip whatever weapon or item you're using.
