Okay, I can't help it, it's driving me bashit.

DanXIII, you have a nasty habit of quoting the entirety of extremely long posts and then responding to them with usually no more than a single sentence. I'm not asking you to make your posts longer, I'm asking you to stop quoting all of an extremely long post. If you're responding to a thread, people are going to know what you're responding to, you don't have to show them the whole post again.

To stay on-topic, I think this is a fine idea. I just wished that they had said something about it before Die Another Day came out. I was expecting to see at least one more Bond movie with Brosnan, and learning now that Pierce will no longer be James Bond just sucks. He didn't have a "farewell" film, they just dropped him in the middle of the action. That sucks!

Really, the only good reasons to quote a post are:
a)You are quoting only part of a post to indicate what part you are responding to
b)You break the quote into several parts, giving your comments to each part under it
c)You are quoting from a different thread
d)The post you are replying to is a few days old and/or on a different page, to help the linear mode users out.

Especially if the post being replied to is on the same page, there is no reason to quote the whole thing, because everyone can just click the "in reply to" link to jump to the post without even having to load a page.

Enemy at the Gates.

And in response to Raziel... I was thinking the exact same thing. Dan XIII's nasty habits are driving me batshit insane as well.

That sucks for Brosnan, he was super pissed when he could not get out of his ABC contract and Timothy Dalton was chosen as Bond (he sucked). He waited a long time and now he only gets four films. Ah well, Connery is the best Bond ever anyway.

Unless they get a really great new Bond... I suggest they stop... this shit is getting old, and worse each time.

It is sort of getting old. I believe they are somewhat like someone else said taking from older films because today's generation might not have seen them. They are just remaking stuff, but the special effects have gotten better but that's cuz of the technology.
