Barack Obama's State of the Union was last night. Not sure if anyone here watched it, but I did. The speech was pretty typical Obama type of speech. He was very direct at times, and tried to bridge the gap overall with the entire speech. I am somewhat happy with what he has done, but there is still cynicism everywhere.
You could hear Republicans mocking in the crowd throughout the speech, which is absolutely uncalled for. There was never disrespect of this level from Democrats when George fucking Bush was on the podium.
Cenk Ugyur breaks it down pretty well, a little more harshly than I believe, but still a good analysis.
People can think what they want on both sides, but what he is saying is true. Without working together nothing substantial is never going to happen.
And of course, some gaffes immediately from Giuliani.
How can people honestly follow clowns like this? It's sad when people don't question the people that provide all of their anwers.
