He could just hop in and out every minute or so until the time runs out, just to be safe, although I'm pretty sure it won't respawn unless it is destroyed. The same was with weapons not respawning until the ammo is out, or damn close to it.
Games are only 12 minutes, and by that time, there would only be a few minutes left anyway, and shouldn't be a problem.
Threaded Mode
