I got Inside Lightwave 7 by Dan Ablan this christmas, and I must say that I had been expecting it to be great, but it completely blew me out of the water. I've plowed through about 400 out of its 1160 pages so far, and it goes through the basics and guides you through some great, advanced projects step by step. If you're ever planning to learn LightWave and wouldn't mind spending a little money, this is THE book to get.
