I'll admit that I am totally new and a newbie to rpgmaker...so here's my ?, for rpg2003 I have figured out most of the details except one...what are switches and how do you use them? Okay so here's an example...say I want this guy to say something give my character something then say something totally different the next time. how do I do that? I was trying to figure it out but alas...I am hopeless...er...help?

Name a switch guyspeak. Now on the event which possesses the graphic of the guy, make a conditional branch...
===============================
:If:
:Switch guyspeak=OFF
:Show text = "LOLZ"
:Turn Switch guyspeak ON
:Else:

:If:
:Switch guyspeak=ON
:Show text = "Kicking puppies is fun."
:Turn Switch guyspeak OFF
:Else:

===============================

So try that out. Pardon my Pseudocode. Switches aren't really very hard, after an hour or so.
