There's really no way to make a "slow" condition since the battle is round-based, but you can always halve agility (which doesn't really affect speed, just accuracy/evade, but you know that already)

What would Slow do in an RM2k battle, anyway?

Possiblt make the enemies/heroes turns take longer to achieve....like it does in any otehr RPG. Make it longer before you can do anything.

But RM2k is round based, like FF1 - making it go slower would just mean that they'd take their turn last within the round, but overall they'll have the same number of turns as a guy that has Haste. Rather useless, overall...

Well, could you make it to where the slowed person skips every 3rd or 2nd round?

Can't see a way to do that - unless you basically stun that person based on number of rounds (change it to another condition that also says Slow, but you can't move, then change it back later), but it would have to somehow check the target's condition at some point (to see if it is, in fact, slow) to stun it.

I don't see a way to do this within RM2k at all, mainly because there's no way to determine what target got hit with Slow in the first place. You can change a condition easily enough, but you can't see whether or not that target has a condition already.

Basically, you're stuck, unless Slow is a custom-made, switch-based, entire-party spell, then you can ignore it entirely.. of course, then it will run out at the same time for every character at some point, and you couldn't heal it individually. And anything that WOULD heal slow would also have to be a custom-made, switch-based, entire-party spell, because otherwise it'll heal the Slow condition only to have it return in 2 rounds when you couldn't move all of a sudden, because the switch would be still on..

Right...would it be possible in RM2K3??

I'm right in guessing that you can import RM2K games into RM2K3 yes??

Noob, it may be best to import the game into RM2K3 and do everything in that instead...I'm pretty sure that the Slow thing can be done in 2K3...

It's up to you.

Yeah, it's possible in RM2k3 - just cut agility in half, since it's based on a time-bar system. Really simple at least..

(Sorry I haven't replied in awhile :P)

Okay......well I would use 2k3, but everytime I do....I can never find the right battle charsets and I can't make them very well........

Anyways, I just decided to stun the characters. Thank for all your inputs.

I'm not looking for specific sets of any games or anything - it's just that when I have a character and I set up his/her background, I look for a battle set for him/her, and I can't find one.
