Pride, Passion and Arrogance

The American nation’s glorious roots came as those first European settlers first set foot on the land. Filled with ambition and pride they sought America as the new land of opportunities. A place they could cultivate, harvest and most of all call their own. It was from here that the very first examples of American arrogance sprang.

It is accepted that the common roots of America sprout from British ideals philosophy and simply Britain itself. In the mid-1700’s, Britain valiantly defended its colonies of America against French and Indian forces. The entire campaign it was tolerant and reasonably compassionate towards the colonials. Surely no settlement could overlook such generosity, could they? Well as is proven, American’s view themselves not as any ordinary settlement. This meant that normal laws of duty, honour and respect mustn’t apply to them. As a thanks for all of the soldiers England gave, the time, the money and the patience they had with their colonies, America still declared open war.

From the moment those settlers came, they saw the land as their own. The ownership of this territory was their god given right and saw no reason to share. The natives that lived in the New World suffered immensely. These foreigners had come and claimed land that hand been theirs for hundreds of years. What right did the “white man” have to this land? Several times efforts of compensation were made towards the natives but alas, the majority did not agree with practice. The pinnacle came at the signing of the Monroe Doctrine in 1823. How could any country ever make such bold statements? They openly declared that America had sole ownership of the New World. This asserted their belief in supremacy. It created the American belief that other’s should have the privilege of their influence and values.

The definition of privilege is “A special advantage, immunity, permission, right, or benefit granted to or enjoyed by an individual, or class.” In the American dictionary, granted and forced must be equals.

American’s began forcing their ideals on others quickly and often. President Madison in 1812 decided that it was required of them to spread their knowledge to Canada. Angered because they felt the treatment by European powers was unjust, war was decided as the only option. Even Benjamin Franklin said “He that falls in love with himself will have no rivals. “ American’s believed this to a fault. So self-indulged were they that the war with Canada was thought to be a “Mere matter of Marching”. Not only had they picked the fight, they were so utterly convinced in their superiority that they would make such a bold statement. As the war progressed, a constant barrage of brutal truths were thrown at the American nation but still, they were painfully brushed aside. Even as the dust settled, the plans lay in ruin, their capital a smouldering wreck and the genuine idiocy of their claims lay about them, victory was still proclaimed.

As the 20th century came about, the critique, involvement and ferocity American blindness became even more prevalent. The United States decided it was only necessary to assist their allies in World War I at the very closing of the war. The war had been won and the American’s believed only that they had earned a say in global politics. This was after sitting in isolation for nearly a century offering no assistance to others. Their “assistance” in World War I came at a nearly useless point. The war had been won, the only task left was to mop up the remainder of enemy forces. The fact that they simply believed they should have a voice for others was ridiculous at best. In such cases as the Vietnam War and both the Gulf Wars the American nation believed they should determine the fate of other nations. Both times they fought to enforce American beliefs and values on unwilling and unreceptive people. Both the first two enjoyed little success. Much is not known about the future success of the current project but is already under global opposition.

Of all the nations in the world, America should be the most thankful. They were built upon solid roots of a nation that had watched these people abandon them. Even after such events, the world has put up with this nation’s antics for centuries. How can a country built upon “life, liberty and the pursuit of hapiness” be so comfortable with infringing on these rights for others. “We hold these truths to be self to be self evident, that all men are created equal” echoes throughout their over zealous nation. Instead of preached, these words should be understood.

Alright, dude America is one of the worlds youngest nations. I seriously dont think our nation can close to touch the BRINK of the injustice that other nations and or civilzations have done. But belive me man im sure just give us some more time we will come close. And besides man(and or girl) the sky is blue no one needs to point that one out.
