It's fandom is a blight on gamers everywhere, anyone who likes Cloud or Sephiroth OR Aeris for their amazing 'character' has a severe lack of imagination and Square-Enix is just tossing the mentally-warped bipedal humanoids under the guise of true living flesh-and-blood creatures bone after bone because it is a steady way to not only milk the cow, but also assrape it and produce the money.

Aeris godmoding (sending Lifesteam everywhere, making it rain, speaking to everyone, helping to beat big monster)
Sephiroth (is reborn when a guy takes a bath in a liquid from a box then loses and turns back into loser-guy)

Dirge of Cerberus - SUMMARY
3rd-person shooter
Everyone is a color (names are all drawn from foreign languages for colors)
New monster (group of people trying to revive it for...who the hell knows)

In conclusion, could Square-Enix be spending better time making sequels and prequels for better games like Final Fantasy IX or a new Crono game? Would it be too much to ask that FF12 be its main focus and that the whole massive FF fandom be united in its anticipation of a game that might put the series back on track and not divide that group by simply catering to the shit-for-brains fans of FFVII?

Yes, SE is a company and a company makes money. That's its intent but when the company begins mass-producing shit to make that money, its the buying public's duty to take what they're selling and shove it right up their ass.
