Out of curiosity, what do you guys think about parents telling their kids about Santa? Do you think they should expose the myth from a young age, or should they try and make their kids believe in Santa as long as possible?
I'm sure I'll tell my kid about Santa, because didn't you have a kickass time when you were little at X-mas? I mean, some freakin guy brought you presents if you were nice. Little kids are innocent and should stay that way. Let 'em believe what they want.
I would probly tell them when they got into school, because other kids may be like "haha you beleive in Santa" and shit... kids are innocent? some can be demons
I'd keep the myth alive until they stop believing on their own. If necessary I'd strap a few pillows to my torso, put on a giant red suit and beard, and pay them a visit.
As Thanatos said, you have so much fun at Christmas waiting for Santa, why spoil it for the little 'uns?
obviously, if u tell them about santa, u have o tell them about the easter bunny and tooth fairy. I will tell my kids and make them as happy as i am around christmas. Out of habit, my parents still sign some of my gifts from santa. And like lenny said, id go and get a suit and jump through my chimmney if it meant keeping it alive.
Some kid at my neices school told her that Santa wasn't real, and her exact words to him were "He's real if you believe in him, so shut up because you don't know anything."
THAZ MUH GURL, Y0!
Anyway, there's a guy at work who looks a lot like Santa, and whenever the kids see him they always point and go "Hi Santa!". I think it's cute, so yeah. I'll tell them Santa is real. It's nice to be able to believe that there's something positive in the world when you're that age, something apart from all the violence on the tv and sometimes even around you in the real world.
