You can't move the OS to the new one as far as I can tell, but you can reinstall programs onto the new HDD and cut and paste all files(non installation files) to the new one as well. You'd have to reinstall Windows on the new HDD to get it to run off of that one.

You might wanna burn everything off, switch HDD's around so that the comp recognizes the new one as the "master/boot drive"(need to switch a few pins around here too, but it's labeled on the HDD's). Install Windows and all prgrams and put ur data back on it were you want.

I never heard of moving OS to a new HDD will still running.
Somone may have an easier way...I'm not a windows fan.

I'm assuming they're not the same size hdd. I know you could ghost the original onto the new hdd if they were the same size, but I don't know what it'll give you if you try to do it with different size discs... Anybody?

Actually, after looking around, I believe you can do it with two different sized HDD's. It may have been incorporated with the newer versions of the software. Some sites say that it was done, although none seem the most reliable. They also don't have a tutorial on how to do it or any documentation of them doing it.

Email Norton and ask them would be your best bet man. GL

forget emailing them, as long as you have at least a cd burner and a lot of cdr's or cdrw's, get norton ghost and do it that way. I have it, and it works fine for me.
