Steam 1.6 ...

Yes, myself and many other loyal cs players think steam is gay as hell. But it is also pretty sweet with the friends stuff, but it lags more, but it has new stufff. Your thoughts?

As soon as my favorite servers move over, and they work a few kinks out, I'll be happy as a button with it.

haha, one 1.6 doesn't lagg if you have a good connection and cpu, two it's more realistic except for the riot shield it's still under developed, finally three u can't do anything about it because everything is moving to 1.6

Yeah, steam has too much shit running on it, friends list, servers, games, all sorts of shit, and its in the first phases, just think about when 1.5 isn't played anymore, steam will be a laggy ass bitch.

I didn't lag whatsoever on 1.5, it was great, then movin on to 1.6 is a bitch. THOUGH, I do like steam because of the friends list n shit, its easy to know where ur friends are without having to bs around with aim..

yea i know u can have all those things running but really if u can find a lower then 50 ping server it feels just like 1.5 or even better because of the texture and weather

Friends and shit have nothing to do with it. The problem is that Valve contracted other companies, such a gamespy and nVidia for bandwidth, but they did not get enough.
