Sometimes when I'm driving, my engine's rpm keeps shooting down and up whenever I take my foot off the gas.
Example:
Accelerate to 45. 1,500 rpm @ 45 mph. Take foot off gas. The rpm shoots down to 900. The car slows down dramatically, rpm goes back up to 1,100. Car doesnt slow down as fast.
Thing is this doesn't always happen, just sometimes. The car is 10 years old and has 96,150 miles on it.
Even when it only happens some of the time? Other times it works smootly as if nothing's wrong.
Maybe sometimes the transmission is under enough pressure that the oil is flowing fast enough that the transmission can shift properly, sometimes maybe the oil isn't moving fast enough/ under enough pressure. Come on sov its not hard to check oil levels...
Like I know shit about cars. Took it to the garage though. They inspected it and said all the fluids minus the oil were good. I got my oil change and now I havnt' had the problem since. It's been only 3 days though. We'll see.
