His eyes watches the keyboard and he knows that she is long gone. He just wants to tell her how much he loves her, how much he misses her, but he can't. He cannot hear her soft voice, for it will only cause him so much pain. It hurts so much to think about her. His heart is bleeding, and every mere thought of her hurts him adds to his misery. There is no end to the sorrow, no end to the pain. The moist tears that falls down his cheek have not touched his dry skin for years. There is so much to tell her, so much he wants to hear. The hard, cold metal touches the side of his head, and the memories of her warmth ravage him like nothing has ever done before.
Forgiving yourself for the unforgivable cannot be done, knowing that there is no other way out. Seeing her fall through eternity, her screams disappearing into the void. Never before has a feeling of complete devastation and loneliness feasted upon his unprotected soul. The unanswerable question makes everything seem so obvious, so clear. Never before has such an enlightment struck him, and the word never has never been so defined until now. Not even the sounds can be heard. No tears touch his skin. No thoughts trouble him. He is free, but he doesn't even know it. The path to forgiveness has been fulfilled, but he cannot know. Dead people don't cry.
