Question Level of Addiction: D2 vs. WoW

What was more addicting for you when you first started playing these games? Diablo 2 or World of Warcraft? I ask this because I don't (well not yet, and I hope not yet) play World of Warcraft, atm. But just wondering if it was as addicting as D2 was when I first played it.

I was truly addicted to D2, playing for hours at a time, but I would have to honestly say that WoW is more addictive.

However, D2 kept bringing me back even after I thought I had finished for good, so I played it for years. I've only played WoW for a bit over a year, so D2 might be more addictive long term while WoW is more addictive short term.

To do something in WoW, you have to form a group(sometimes an absolutely huge one, absurdly huge actually,) and then do it, when it could take 4-5 hours+ and you still might not finish. If you get into raiding, you will spend far more time playing WoW than you ever played D2 most likely. You could do like 500 cows/baal runs in the time it takes to do a raid dungeon in WoW.

D2 for me. WoW was just too time consuming.

I disliked WoW. Couldn't get into it. D2 I at least enjoyed.

I think the main reason why I decided to never play WoW was because I found D2 so addictive. It feels like I've given away two years of my life to that game.

Starcraft was the only game I could really play with my (at the time) shitty dial up modem. Those were the days.

Guild Wars. Its just like D2 but with enhanced technicolor graphics, and made by a bunch of the same guys who made Diablo.

Unless your talking about D2 that crazy survival horror game on Dreamcast....

Guild wars is nothing like D2, don't lie to these people like that.

I loved D2, Guild Wars was rubbish.
