PS3
Reply

I sold my old computer for $800 a week ago, I'm going to take $600 and buy the new PS3.

I read online that each store is only going to have 10 - 15 PS3s? If this is true, I'm never going to get one, considering there's already a line outside my local Target and Best Buy of people camping out to be the first people to get it. When do we get the next shipment?

I was really hoping Sony would lose money off this because they're fucking tossers. But people keep feeding them their hard earned (who are we kidding) cash.

I wish you the best of luck!

The latest figures for the first shipment are around 200,000 for NA.

Next shipment will probably be first week of December, and every two weeks afterwards.

-----

Levon, Ebay is for people who have money.

Anyone who buys a PS3 and sells it on Ebay is also what we call a "wanka".

-----

Dar_Win, almost forgot.

Post piccytures! Of the console, pad, games, disks, PS Store, XBM, anything!

And please tell us what your first impressions are when you get it.

Speaking of ps3, I had a dream last night that I drove my works forklift to a best buy and went to some display that was full of the lower edition of the ps3. There were at least 20 systems there. Then the manager staff came and took the forklift back, so I went up to the front where there was a long long long line to order the ps3, and I looked near where the xbox and nintendo shit was for the high end one. No luck.

Then I woke up, and now I have a headache.

The way to make that dream better would be:

a) Be at the front of the line
b) Have the PS3
c) Wake up and STILL have the PS3.

The thing you need to worry about is dreaming of the PS3 for a week straight... and doing so every single week until March.

THEN complain of the headache.

Gimme a mo. I've got to find the list of launch titles. No point recommending what isn't out.

---

Let's see...

If you like FPS', then definitely Resistance.
RR7 looks like a good game, if you're interested in racing games.
And Project 8 is supposed to be very entertaining... but, again, only if you're into the genre.

Here's what you can choose from, btw:

- Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire
- Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07
- Call of Duty 3
- NHL 2k7
- Genji 2: Days of the Blade
- Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom
- Madden NFL 2007
- Marvel Ultimate Alliance
- NBA '07
- NBA 2k7
- Resistance: Fall of Man
- Ridge Racer 7
- Tony Hawk’s Project 8

I wasted hours upon hours infront of that stupid fuck store, then at the last mother fucking minute, they decide not to release it.

In reply to shipments:

http://www.ps3.net/newsboard/view.php?id=601

They expect there to be 4 or 5 shipments before the end of the year.

As there are only 6 weeks left until 2007, that's about 1 shipment per 1.5 weeks.

God, you lucky bastards.

Don't forget that that's a launch title for a console that's just released. The 360 has been out for a year next Wednesday, which means developers have been able to tap some of the power of the console.

2007 is when it all happens for the PS3 - Assassin's Creed, Warhawk, MGS4, Motorstorm, Lair.

Well done for getting one.

Pix?

I saw one (in a display case) in the nearest Walmart.

My impression was that it is big, really big. Might as well just get an actual computer.
