RMXP - Side View Battles
Reply

Not that long ago I downloaded a demo of a side-view battle system. I suddenly remembered about it yesterday.

I played it, and it is amazing!! It works like a dream.

The only problem is the battlesets.

If anyone can make some like the one attached, then we can all play RMXP with side-view battles.

Give me a bit and I can find where I got the demo from.

Edit:
Here's a link to where I found it: http://www.dubealex.com/creation_asy...?showtopic=754

Isn't even one person remotely interested??

When RMXP came out, we were all moaning about it not being side-view battles, then this pops up and not even one person replies...

It makes me sad...

I missed this entirely somehow, probably because this forum moves at such a blazing speed that there's no way someone could reasonably keep up

The issue becomes showing different weapons properly - the script doesn't seem to support that directly (though it might be possible to include the weapon itself within the battle animation when you hit something, or just use the same weapon type throughout the entire game or something). Though it apparently does allow for separate animations for skills and ARGH RUBY OIJEFOJIE:OFJDJF:AHDGLKJ

Apparently the script does allow you to use different weapons...I just haven't got round to trying it yet and finding out if it does...though I can do this weekend...first time I'll have free time for two months...
