If you ask me, the grenades are powerful enough as it is. That's always either the newbie's weapon or the uber expert's weapon, either way it's bad news for me. They also say they are toning down one of my favorite combos, the Plasma Rifle/SMG. They say it's to make other combos more attractive, because this one is too powerful, which is plain stupid, anyone here knows there is a particular range you stand at to counter that combo, plus what other combos does it beat really? The double SMG is about it, and that's at close range. So not only are they making grenades more powerful, they are going to tone down that combo, which will probably mean more people retreating away and throwing grenades your way, which sucks already as it is. It seems like some of the changes they are making aren't really balancing the current situation(which is pretty well balanced anyhow), but are really creating a new gameplay. I tell ya what they NEED to do is make the brute shot more powerful, and make the melee attack a one hit kill. All I read in that review was "new combos" "a new experience" "we want players to use different types of weapons" So make the brute shot more powerful, that's one. They also seem to be overlooking the fact that toning down the plasma rifle/smg or the magnum is going to have a drastic affect when you vs the sword on smaller maps. If they do make the grenades more powerful, I hope they will make less of them on smaller maps, because it's bad enough getting into a skirmish.
Also um, which I'm kinda hoping they will do, is make the charge-up shot easier to dodge(practically impossible as is) and make one needler fire as fast as when you have two and do a left/right alt fire, so then two with alt fire might actually be worth picking up... It's not like you have two needlers laying on the ground that often anways, so CMON, CMON, make it more powerful already.
Bungie is weird like that, they make an awesome game, and then don't know what to do with it... it's like after release they all get wasted and forget how to make games.
