Post Favorite Zelda?

Take your pick, which game in the Legend of Zelda series is your favorite, and why?

I'm going with Wind Waker. It was by far my favorite game in the series. The graphical presentation was flawless, the world was huge, the dungeon design was the best in the series, and the plot was the most developed. Plus, the King of Red Lions owns Epona any day of the week. Let's see that lame horse mount a cannon on her back.

I would have to say "A Link to the Past" because it had a very long and well done story line and plot. not to mention i've only played a link to the past, orcirina of time, oracle of ages and seasons. Orcarina of time was a good second in my opinion of what I PLAYED, so don't go saying to me that one of the other games is better and im dumb or something.

Wind Waker. I can't believe I spent more than 2 hours just exploring the sea.. it was that good. Plus the song while you're at sea just sticks in your head for days..

I prefer Oracle of Ages/Seasons. They're the easiest to beat, which is good for me. But other than that, in order:

Majora's Mask
Orcarina of Time
Links Awakening
Wind Waker (I've only played about 5 minutes of it...So I can't rate it any higher)
Link to the Past

Man...I love Zelda games just as much as SC. But top 3 favorites are Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker.
The oldschool ones were fun and so were the gameboy, but I love those three above all. Ocarina of Time has got to be my Favorite.
Reasons:
Majoras Mask took many of the things from the Ocarina of Time, elements and character features. They gave each character more personality and also made many timed events (Like people appearing or doing things at certain times of day). The entire game was pretty big and had many fun elements. Also, the time limit (before moon fall), gave a big challenge. Sometimes I was at a Dungeon and reached the boss 1 hour before the end of the last day, and luckily I win =).

Wind Waker: Man, when I saw this game I thought it would suck. Too Cartoony and giving Link a "Hey Arnold!" Head. I was about to scream for such a disgrace on a badass character. But once I played, I was addicted. The game is Long (mainly due to it being 80% sea). Its full of adventure and many secrets and puzzles. The Boss music is pretty good (I love the Sand Boss Batle one!). This game really gave me HOURS of fun even as an experienced Zelda player.

Ocarina of Time: This I feel is the best game. I was never truly THAT into Zelda until I got this. The game carried a good drama at the very start, luring you into its storyline. Its Dungeon's were challenging and the boss battles were wonderous when I first played. (Anyone here remember saying 'Oh sh*t' when Queen Gohma the spider came down after you looked up? I did!). Come on, you know it was badass fighting that Volcania Dragon or taking the double teaming witches down. Ocarina songs were fantastic and the whole game offered one hell of an adventure for a N64 system. As for challenges: Skull Token Hunts, Heart Containers, the works. Although Majora's Mask comes very close in winning this game by 'enhancing' its flaws, it can never bring the true excitement, fun, and experience I had when first playing this. Ocarina of time gets my vote!
"You called down the thunder, now reap the whirlwind"
"Im about to overload my aggression inhibitors"

"It says....push any key...er um, which one is the 'any' key?"

"Knowledge is Power. Power--Leads to Corruption. So we all go to school to be Evil!"

I'm playing through Majora's Mask right now, and honestly, I think it's a much better game than OoT. My favorite thing about Wind Waker was that you didn't spend 85% of the game in dungeons like in OoT, and I was so happy to see that Majora's Mask uses that same strategy. You spend hours completing sidequests and interacting with the characters, rather than in OoT where you spent no more than a combined total of 5 hours outside of the dungeons.

Plus, the dungeon designs are worlds better than anything in OoT. Ocarina had some good dungeons, but they were all basically just a series of rooms filled with small puzzles and then a final boss. MM's dungeons are all centrally designed, each with one overall objective or puzzle to complete. Like the Snowhead temple. The whole point of the entire dungeon is to raise the central pillar to the correct height so you can access the boss room. There's a lot of extra stuff you have to do in order to complete that task, but it's all based around that one central objective.

The whole world in MM just feels a lot more natural and real than Hyrule in OoT, the characters have more substance to them and you spend a lot more time doing extra things rather than spending all of your time wandering around in dungeons. I genuinely wish that I'd listened to my friends and played this game when it came out.
