Question Best way to get through a wall.

Lets say that this is whats going on. Your playing lost temple. You are protoss and your opponent is terran. The game starts off. None of you rush so nobdy is killed early. Now the terran player starts to wall off with tanks and turrents. What in your guy's opinion is the best way to destroy this threat. Im Thinking using arbiters to reacall into an area of the base that is undefended. Then work your way forward to the wall by using corasairs to desruption web. This is just one of many ways that you could break down a wall. What do you guys think?

Tanks could easily be dealt with using Carriers, and disrupting photon cannons is a good thing. Carriers are just nice because they're extremely long range.

Here a better way to win.
Well i think it is anyway.

Prevent your enemy from expanding.
Build 8 dt, 2 shuttle and 2 corsair (research web).
Use web on turret and bring your drop to comsat and destroy it. Enjoy starving your enemy.
If he survive expand lot and keep hurting his mineral and gas.
Psy storm or archon can be good way to kill scv.

Kujas strat just owned any before it, and heres why:

Carriers = cost too much

Try teching that fast without getting owned?

The best strat to take down a wall I've seen is, about 2-3 ships full of lots/reavers, right on the wall, just to destroy it, doesnt matter if you lose each one.

Send in dts/lots/archons/temps and games over. Seen it work many times.

what about trying 2 use upgraded zelaots backed with reavers, archons, carriers, scouts or other heavy units. Turrets cant do nothing 2 zealots and tanks have 2 back off or they get owned by zealots. If they send back-up then you could send in ur heavier units like carriers and stuff....i dont know.

I personally use upgraded speed zeals, dragoons and shuttle.

Well, Hmm, one way I can think of is using corsairs and some reavers. Corsairs web up the tanks and turrets (and bunkers if possible). But you have to make sure you get every tank and you have to work fast. Assuming you aslo brought along two shuttles with 2 reavers each (Giving you 4 reavers total, which, I am Positive you guys can afford by the time this player makes so many damn turrets, tanks and bunker siege.) Then, drop your reavers, and start pummeling the entrance. (At your base your buliding further troops, if you can, research recall for arbiter or start preparing your troops for invasion.). 4 Reavers Im sure can wipe away depots and bunkers after before the web is gone, if your lucky, maybe a shot or two at the tanks. Web is gone, just quickly load up your reavers. (if you have more corsairs, repeat and finish the tanks fast), if not, bring your arbitor to recall your troops or bring your mass of shuttles and do a massive drop or just let your troops run up (I dont reccomend this, since you'll suffer major losses but if your too poor / cheap to afford shuttles or arbitor, your pathetic and have to deal with losses ). Let your corsairs take the hits from the turrets. And thats it. Tanks wont last long taking you have lots, a few casualties on your backrow guys if he doesn't unsiege but thats it. He's doomed, and if he has more marines in the back, you still have your 4 reavers =D.

The next best thing to do if this plan fails, is drive up to the Terran player's house, pull the plug on his comp and walk back out. YOU WON!!! =D

Note: If you truly want to ensure the destruction of the tanks on the first drop, add a third shuttle and load in high templars. These guys can storm the tanks. Lets face it, a shuttle holds 4 templars, each is good enough for 2 storms (assuming you let them charge up on energy). Come on, Unless your mouse jams up or you have the worst perception and accuracy, 8 storms is enough to wipe out all or most of the tanks!

Hehe, thanks man =D. There probably are better ways though, Im not too great with Protoss but thats what I would do in that situation. o.O;

That way is too much cash and takes too long. By the time you get all those i reckon terran should have more than just tanks and turrets....Thats why the best way to go right at the beginning is shuttle 4 zeals upgraded or not and Dragoons. I have replay of this working very well. PM me if u want.

yeah but...I dont know -.-; I figured you would have it at that time. For their barrack you have a gateway, for every depot you have a pylon. While they make a factory, you make a Cybernetics core. While they make an add on, you make a (forgot the name, dont play Protoss that often anymore), that building that makes the shuttle and reavers. Yeah I mean, you wont have units as fast as the Terran, but you won't be too far behind. But yeah, your way WILL work, A few shuttles flying past enemy defenses and hitting their town really hurts, I've had this done to me once before I made bunkers at my CC, after I destroyed them, a second drop came with more and even dts! That hurt alot.

By the time they have their first tank out you will have 2-3 dragoons 2nd tanks 6 dragoons and by that time you getting shuttle and zeals. By the time you get 4 zeals and shuttle they have 4-5 tanks and turrets.

No, I'd say if T was turtling like that, best bet is to go for minerals and leave wall alone, when he moves tanks to try to disrupt your mineral attack, drop a few on his wall.

Lol true if terran turtle, take the whole map and make a ton of building to produce units. Once your at 200 and you got lot of expantion. Start attacking and keep building unit as they die. The terran will end up starving or having much less unit then the protoss
